Research Announcement: First-Generation Students, We Need Your Voice!

Are you a first generation student? Impacted by social distancing? Passionate about helping other students like you? Read on for an exciting opportunity to share your story!
Dr. Kristina Scharp at the University of Washington is conducting a survey inviting first-generation college students to share their experiences with transitioning to distance learning in the face of COVID-19.
This survey in total should only take about twenty minutes of your time, and is being held in order to learn how to better support first-generation students through this time. After you’re done, you can forward the survey link to anyone you know who is also a first-gen student who has had to transfer to online classes!
Respondents just have to meet the following criteria: “(1) are 18 years old or older, (2) feel comfortable reading and speaking English, (3) belong to a family where neither parent/guardian has completed a four-year college degree, and (4) are enrolled in at least one class that has transitioned from face-to-face to distance education due to the COVID-19 pandemic.”
