The Hottest Jobs of 2018 Require a College Degree

If you’re looking for a job in a fast-growing field that also pays exceptionally well, all roads lead through college.
That’s the takeaway from data recently released by Indeed. Technology jobs that require specialized training are far and away the most lucrative. They’re also the fastest-growing. And yes, they require a degree in computer science or related fields.
As Raul Amoros writes in Ladders, today’s booming AI and robotics sectors require skilled programmers. Anyone with a degree in computer science has a massive leg up when it comes to landing a great job, and the opportunities show no sign of slowing.
Although the medical field shows up twice on the list, the majority of growth is clearly in tech sectors, with machine learning engineers topping the rankings. Want to check out what’s hot in today’s market? Indeed compiled the list below with the following criteria: To count as a “good” job, the base salary had to be at least $75,000 (the national average is $47,000). They also discounted any professions that completely bumped the scale, such as professional sports players.
