As part of Go College! Now’s official launch and our goal to increase the national dialogue about the importance of improving college access, we are turning to you to lead the conversation and create real change!
On Thursday, September 24, known as Go College! Day, communities from coast to coast will be screening First Generation, taking the pledge, and gathering for a dialogue on expanding college access and success.

While communities are hosting local screenings and conversations, a national kick-off event is taking place in Los Angeles, California at UCLA Community School.

Here are a few other ways to be social on Go College! Day – September 24
- Tune into the LIVE webcast & tweet your questions to the panel using #gocollegenow.
- Wear your alma mater or favorite college apparel and post a pic on instagram, Facebook, or Twitter using #gocollegenow
- Host a screening of First Generation at your school or office. Take a picture of the audience and post it on social media with #gocollegenow

Host A Screening of First Generation
Hosting a free screening could take different forms, including the following:
- Watch the 1-hour version in class
- Hold a school-wide assembly with a post-screening Q&A with counselors
- Movie night for a first generation campus group
- After-school event for students and parents
- Workforce training for your staff, advisors and administrators
