Clemson University Gives Rural Students a Chance

In the state of South Carolina, Clemson University is working to heal education inequity more than ever.

Via their program, Emerging Scholars, the university is reaching out to historically neglected populations in rural communities in order to get them excited for higher education and make college more accessible.

From scholarships to summer classes, the university’s hands-on approach is getting kids into college and, in turn, helping areas that have fallen into economic disrepair.
